Pakistani Expatriates, real capital of the country: NA Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri has said that Pakistani expatriates were the real assets of Pakistan and their contributions for the country were remarkable. He said this in a meeting with Chaudhry Ikram, a member of the transition team of NASSAU County of Pakistani origin based in USA and President Asian Business Association, USA at Parliament House on today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said that Pakistani expatriates abroad are the real capital of the country and they have made a name for the country and the nation all over the world with their hard work and talent. He said that the present government was taking steps on priority basis to address the problems faced by the overseas Pakistanis. Parliament has given them the right to vote through legislation, he said.
Talking about Pak-US relations, he said that Pakistan attaches immense importance to its friendly and strategic relations with the United States and wants to further expand them. He said that the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was striving to eradicate corruption from the country and provide speedy and inexpensive justice to the people. He said that the country was moving on the path of development.
Chaudhry Muhammad Akram thanked the Deputy Speaker and appreciated the present government for resolving the issues faced by the Pakistanis living abroad and giving them the right to vote. He praised Prime Minister Imran Khan for raising his voice on international forums to eradicate Islamophobia.
