Pakistan Announces Squad for First Test Against England

Islamabad:Pakistan has announced its squad for the first Test against England, scheduled to commence on 7 October in Multan. The Men in Green will be led by Shan Masood while Saud Shakeel will be his deputy.

The 15-man squad includes the usuals, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah, while pace bowling all-rounder, Aamir Jamal and left-arm orthodox Noman Ali have been recalled to the squad.

Unfortunately, Khurram Shahzad, who was impressive in the Test series against Bangladesh has been left out due to injury. Similarly, Mohammad Ali has also been dropped after below par performances.

The Green Shirts will be hoping to bounce back after a disappointing clean-sweep loss against Bangladesh in the previous series and will be hoping to secure their first Test win at home since 2021.

The three-match Test series will be held in Multan for the first two Tests while Rawalpindi will host the final Test of the series.
