Islamabad, (Monitoring Desk):National Cricket Team Director Mickey Arthur, in an interview with a local TV channel, stated that the Pakistani team, which recently played a One-Day series against New Zealand, will not undergo significant changes for the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup.

When asked about the future of players like Imad Wasim, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Amir, Haris Sohail, and Umar Akmal, Mickey Arthur mentioned that the team has made a commitment to include some players from the group but did not specify any names.

Regarding the matches against New Zealand, Arthur mentioned that there won’t be many changes compared to the squad that played in the recent series. Although they had around 20 players in the previous squad, they will need to select 15 players for the upcoming matches.

When questioned about Pakistan’s concerns regarding the World Cup, Arthur stated that there were discussions about the selection process, particularly regarding the spinners. However, he affirmed that the team has the capability to defeat any team at any venue.

It is worth mentioning that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had officially requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to change the venues for two league matches of the 2023 World Cup, scheduled to be held in India. The PCB had requested to swap the match venues of Australia on October 20 in Bangalore and Afghanistan on October 23 in Chennai. The mega event will commence on October 5, with Pakistan starting their campaign against New Zealand on October 6 in Hyderabad.

According to the schedule, Pakistan will face South Africa on October 12 in Quaide-e-Azam Trophy, while the traditional clash between Pakistan and India will take place on October 15 at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

On October 20, Pakistan will play against Australia in Bangalore, and on October 23, they will face Afghanistan in Chennai. The national team will compete against England on October 27 in Kolkata. The semi-finals of the World Cup will be held in Mumbai and Kolkata, while the final will take place on November 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.Regenerate response.
