Around 250 speakers, 500 companies, and more than 50 MoUs signing worth $100 Million

The 3 day tech conference and expo witnessed over one hundred thousand people ,more than fifty MoUs, worth 100 million dollars were signed on the third and closing day of Pakistan’s largest tech conference and expo, “Future Fest 2023”, concluded at Expo Center in Lahore on Sunday night.

As per details , an estimated 500 companies participated from across the world, with approximately 250 speakers and 150 international guests from 15 countries.

Entrepreneurs, decision makers, policy makers, investors and innovators are also the part of tech conference, who highlighted the various aspects of Information Technology as well as its role in securing the future.

The event was supported by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, who also inaugurated the event as chief guest. In addition to this, multiple government representatives participated in the 3 day expo, including but not limited to; Dr. Arslan Khalid, Special Adviser to CM Punjab on IT, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Additional Foreign Secretary for Middle East -Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad, and Mr. Emran Akhtar, former Advisor to the Foreign Minister of Pakistan who initiated and led Pakistan’s joining of the Digital Cooperation Organisation as Founder Member in 2020.

Key highlights from the concluding include a fireside chat with Coke Studio Season producer Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan (Xulfi) and Zeeshan Haider Sikandar, Manager Coke Studio. Future Fest 2023 hosted a historic delegation of Saudi startups and venture capitalists, who met Pakistani companies and key stakeholders to explore investments, partnerships, acquisitions, and talent recruitment.

Saudi Prince Fahad bin Mansour has rolled out a plan to create 1,000 jobs by taking up projects worth $100 billion in next five years in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

In his virtual address at the closing ceremony of the Pakistan’s biggest tech conference Future Fest 2023, he said his company ILSA Interactive planned to undertake 300 projects during this period.

“For the next five years, we are looking forward to creating more than 1,000 jobs in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and globally,” he was quoted as saying. “We are expecting to have more than 300 projects, with a minimum total project value of $100 million,” he added.

Prince Fahad said his company would forge partnership with IT companies, universities and enterprises in Pakistan.

In his previous address at the opening ceremony, he announced establishment of a dedicated Saudi – Pakistan Tech House to promote greater ease of doing business.

During his address, he highlighted the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 roadmap under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, which has seen the booming of the technology sector along with major new smart cities like NEOM.
