FBR frozen bank accounts of SSGC due to their default of due sales tax amount at Rs23 billion

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen all bank accounts of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) due to their default of due sales tax amount at Rs23 billion.

According to a handout issued by Large Taxpayer Unit Karachi of FBR, it has attached bank accounts of SSGC due to their default of due sales tax amount at Rs23 billion.

Meanwhile, the Zone Enforcement-II, LTO Karachi has recovered Rs312 million so far through bank accounts attached u/s 48 of the Sales tax act, 1990.

The default amount of GST has been confirmed
by the Appellate Commissioner (Appeal).
