Meat Exporters thanks MoC for facilitation in approval of Red Meat Abattoirs by Jourdians, Egyptian authorities

Islamabad: The All Pakistan Meat Exporters and Processors Association has thanked the Ministry of Commerce with regard to the approval of Red Meat Abattoirs by Jourdians as well as Egyptian authorities.
In a letter to the Federal Secretary of Commerce, the General Secretary of All Pakistan Meat Exporters and Processors Association has thanked the entire ministry of commerce for their facilitation throughout the process.
As you know, eight Pakistani slaughterhouses for beef and lamb have been approved by Jourdians as well as Egyptian veterinary authorities, we would like to special mention DG Agro MoC Dr Kausar Zaidi, Trade and Investment Officer Pakistani Embassy Cairo Sidra Haq and Aurangzaib Jahangir TDAP for their utmost support not only opening the Egyptian market for Pakistani meat but also their facilitation and help in opening of new markets, resolving issues of our industry and being proactive with us to understand the dynamics of the meat industry to enhance our export capacity.
We hope that the Ministry will continue to work with our industry to promote and diversify our country’s exports.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan has exported $137.43 million meat and edible meat offal from July to November this year which was $135.93 million in the first five months of the last fiscal year 2020-21.
On the other hand, exports of meat have decreased in November 2021 by 7% as compared to November 2020 from $32.37 million to $30.11 million.
